Founded by a local educator, Blue Heron Nature Preserve, Inc. (BHNP) is dedicated to inspiring deep connections with nature through innovative conservation projects, interactive environmental programs, and brilliant nature-inspired art exhibitions. BHNP engages children, teens, adults and seniors with profound experiences outdoors in an eponymous City of Atlanta Park featuring a beautiful tapestry of woodlands, wetlands, creek areas, and meadows.

Our commitment to promote environmental appreciation, education, and stewardship stirs us to help students in finding the nature beauty of their communities through afterschool programs in diverse neighborhood schools across Atlanta. Blue Heron Nature Preserve sits on 30-acres of wondrous land, but our love and dedication to the environment is boundless.
