    The Legacy Funds of HNU provides student scholarships and promotes social justice by increasing access to higher education for students representing the diverse community in Oakland, CA, and the wider Bay Area. This purpose honors the legacy and values of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary and the over 150-year history of education at Holy Names University.

    About Us

    The Legacy Funds will serve as a catalyst for positive change by providing student scholarships, promoting educational access in pursuit of social justice, and fostering community engagement. In partnership with Holy Names University alumni and Oakland community members, the Legacy Funds seeks to inspire a new generation of leaders who are committed to advancing the values of Holy Names University and the Sisters of the Holy Names.
