SPARK develops higher education and entrepreneurship so that young, ambitious people are empowered to lead their post-conflict societies into prosperity.
SPARK is determined to increase the number of sustainable jobs and economic prospects for youth in post-conflict regions through the improvement of higher education and development of the local private sector. Special attention is given to marginalised groups, including women, returning refugees and IDPs.
SPARK believes that sustainable economic growth is essential for establishing self-reliance and thereby poverty alleviation. Creating jobs for youth in post-conflict societies and contributing to a enabling environment for youth to advocate for and improve their socioeconomic position are central in this vision. In addition, with job creation SPARK aims to diminish the potential for conflict.
