Our Mission:

Taking full advantage of its location in the financial and policy capital of the international development community, SID-United States is the most active chapter worldwide and has been referred to as the flagship of the organization.

SID is committed to three principal objectives:

1) to stimulate dialogue and cooperation on global development issues; 2) to enhance skills, knowledge and understanding among development practitioners; 3) to provide a network for individuals and organizations working in various sectors of international development.

SID achieves its mission as a forum for professional development, interaction and exchange among organizations and individuals in the development community through a newsletter, workgroups, and special programs and events -- all of which are a part of the benefits of membership.
