Aozora Community Foundation

Aozora Community (“Aozora” means blue sky in Japanese) is an educational and cultural non-profit organization (501c (3)) located in Brooklyn, NY. We are Brooklyn’s primary organization dedicated to supporting Japanese families. A crucial pillar of the Asian-American community, Aozora offers a safe space for learning, support, and friendship to all those interested in exploring the Japanese language and culture. Aozora Preschool, the only Japanese-English bilingual preschool in Brooklyn, is the core of the organization. 

Our vision is to foster a community of curious, open-minded and caring global citizens. As Brooklyn’s only Japanese and English bilingual school, our mission is to provide a quality education rooted in Japanese values, morals, and spirit. As part of that mission, we create programs and events for people to connect, share resources and celebrate one another.
