St. John’s Episcopal Church is a historic presence in Pleasantville, New York, and a vibrant home for God-seekers, do-gooders, deep thinkers, and the big-hearted of all ages. We’re folks walking The Way, skipping and stumbling for 175 years and counting. We seek to offer welcome, belonging, meaning, and purpose through worship, faith formation, and transforming ministry.

    About Us

Worship is the center of our common life.

Sunday mornings feed and fuel us with sacrament, song, and prayer. Our 10:00 a.m. service of Holy Eucharist is warm and traditional. On the second Sunday of the month, the kids take the helm for our Children’s Eucharists. Monday through Friday, we pray Morning Prayer online with the Diocese of New York at 8:00 a.m.

Serving in Love is what we’re here for.

From our Thrift Shop to our dementia Respite Ministry, the Community Garden to Midnight Run, St. John’s is a hub of help, bonded in purpose and service to and with those in need*. (*That’s all of us, isn’t it?)

Growing in the knowledge and love of God is what we’re made to do.

From birth to death, St. John’s is a community that grows in faith together. Church School, Youth Group, Children’s Choir, Adult Forums, and Retreats are some of the ways we feed our minds. Parish events keep us laughing, talking, and Being Church, together.
