The Oregon Maritime Museum interprets and preserves the maritime heritage and contemporary maritime activity of the Columbia- Snake-Willamette rivers inland waterway. Volunteers help in the museum, library, museum store, and in preservation of the historic steampowered sternwheeler.
The museum is housed on the Steam Tug Portland which is tied up at the sea wall in downtown Portland at the foot of Pine Street. There are many models aboard as well as relics from the USS Oregon, and a portion of our library. Tours of the boat and exhibits can be self guided or be led by a "Watch Stander," we also have a museum store.
