Vision: To fill the resource gaps by developing partnerships with employers, community colleges, training programs, K-12 educations systems, and community-based organizations that are committed to preparing single parent scholars for the journey through education into the workforce.
Goal: To encourage and empower single parents through mentorship and financial resources while on their journey to educational success
I established SPI as a way to pay it forward. I was a single parent while pursuing an Undergraduate and Graduate degree, so I know firsthand the hard-financial decisions that have to be made between caring for a child(ren) or buying a book for school. My hope is that a single parent who is striving for success will never have to choose between their children and books.
