Nature First Photography

Some of the Earth's greatest landscapes and treasured natural areas are threatened by increased visitation and general lack of care. We aim to preserve these places by building an alliance of responsible photographers and cultivate a community of local ambassadors and partners to help spread the word.

Nature First promotes the protection and preservation of the world's natural and wild places through inspiring, educating, and uniting everyone making photographs and videos in nature; empowering them to be ambassadors of the natural world.

Our vision… is for everyone making photographs and videos in nature to be mindful of their impact, knowledgeable about the places they photograph, and ambassadors for the natural world.

We are an alliance of over 4,500 professional and amateur photographers worldwide, representing over 75 countries. Our Nature First Ambassador program currently operates in 28 countries, carrying out our mission in locally relevant ways.
