About Us
The Niskayuna Consumer’s Cooperative is a strong community based food Co-Operative market established in 1943, with sales in excess of 9 million dollars annually. We pride ourselves in shopping convenience, customer and community service, product differentiation and value.
Our Board of Directors is currently seeking applications to replace our General Manager of 38 years. A successful candidate should have a minimum of five years Retail Management. (Grocery or Co-Op experience preferred).
In addition, he or she must have demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost control, management and marketing skills. The ideal candidate should also have the ability to creatively market and promote specialty and locally sourced products as well as effectively manage community outreach.
The General Manager reports to a policy setting Board of Directors and is charged with effectively implementing these policies and leading a staff of over 60 employees.
