Gun Violence Survivors Aid

  • Mission

Gun Violence Survivor's Aid, or GVSA for short, is a student led registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides trauma counseling and other mental health resources to students affected by gun violence.

    About Us

GVSA is a 100% student led organization. It was founded by a student, it is operated by a student, and all of our directors and officers are currently students. Most of our directors and officers (including our CEO) are also students who have been affected in some way by gun violence inside their school. After a school shooting or related in-school traumatic incident, we contact the instituton that the event took place in and offer to help affected students. If they agree, our counsellors who operate in the same state reach out to students who have requested help and schedule video calls with them, assisting as many students as they can for as long as possible.
