United Action for Youth

  • Mission

To support youth and families by offering counseling and intervention programs that assist them in resolving problems they encounter; and to provide prevention and youth development programs that make use of young people's talent and energy in helping themselves to a healthy future.

    About Us

United Action for Youth (UAY) is a community based, private, non-profit agency serving youth between the ages of 12-18 and their families. The youth center is considered a safe place for all teens and UAY charges no fees for either its counseling or youth development programs. Youth can take advantage of the arts through UAY's sound recording studio, free music lessons, dark room, pottery wheel, art room, drama troop and by contributing to a youth magazine entitled Alternative Shapes of Reality. United Action for Youth also runs a Teen Parent program in which we provide counseling and support for teen parents up to 20 years of age.
