  • Mission

To improve the quality of life for Rwenzori region communities through provision of education, affordable health care and promotion of self-help initiatives.

    About Us

Kitojo Integrated Development Action (KIDA) was established in 1999 in response to the socio-economic devastation caused by a decade and a half of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, which had left families and entire communities deprived of the ability to cater for their own livelihoods. With support of KIDA Music Dance and Drama group, Professional Counsellors at KIDA ART Clinic, KIDA has made positive strides in HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention campaigns and HIV care. However resource constrains have curtailed service delivery.

KIDA provides health services at KIDA Hospital which include; Doctor Consultation, laboratory, HIV Clinic, Maternity, Ultra Sound Scan, major and minor surgeries, family planning, antenatal and postnatal services among other services.

We also provide services to our rural communities through other programs like; catering for Orphans and Vulnerable Children through paying school fees and providing for personal effects, training in vocational skills like carpentry, hairdressing, tailoring, brick laying and concrete practice. KIDA also spearheads community self-help initiatives through Savings and Credit facilities at KITOJO CARE SACCO.
