The EPICENTER

Mountain Christian Church made an intentional investment in the Edgewood community in 2004, leading to many strong relationships and a deep desire to see the community flourish. In 2013, Mountain rallied several local partners and the members of its church to launch a community center right in the heart of Edgewood. For 8 years now, The EPICENTER at Edgewood, it’s own 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been a hub of programs, resources, and hope for the community. But the story continues...The middle of the pandemic of 2020, we began opening the doors to our second location in Aberdeen. Right next to Ollie’s, we partnered with Mountain Christian Church once again to create a beautiful space for the community of Aberdeen. Similar to Edgewood, but tweaked to fit the Aberdeen community, we host chilcare, summer camp, blood drives, food giveaways, and much more. Since our official Grand Opening on June 19th 2021, we continue to find ways to strengthen our community here in Aberdeen and Edgewood.
