    About Us

Since 1983, Zenon Dance School is an eclectic venue for learning ballet, tap, breakdance, hip-hop, yoga, African, and other styles that reflect the trend in merging genres. The school offers four sessions of classes per year with 45-50 classes offered per session, to an annual average of 2,500 recreational, pre-professional, and professional dancers. The school's faculty consists of approximately 40-50 of the area's leading teachers, dancers, and choreographers, including Zenon company members. For the past 18 years, Zenon's "Zone" Scholarship Program has provided subsidized classes and performance opportunities to over 130 students each session. The Zone program is unique in the Twin Cities, serving as a springboard to professional careers for dancers, teachers and choreographers alike and fulfills an important need in the dance community. An average of 10 aspiring local choreographers each year develop works on Zenon's Scholarship students.
