About Us

We are part of a state-wide program in Michigan, called the Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP). The mission of the MIHP is to reduce infant mortality and morbidity state-wide, and to promote healthy pregnancies, positive birth outcomes, and healthy infant growth and development in the populations we serve.

We are a small non-profit based in Highland Park, near Detroit. We serve pregnant women and infants up to 18 months. Our nurses and social workers visit our clients in their homes. We provide support services, baby items, referrals for housing, health care, food, transportation and other basic needs. We provide in-home, specialized services that are tailored to each family and child. We are a consistent support for our clients and are available to them when they need to talk or are in crisis.

We are dedicated to sharing resources in our communities and providing egalitarian support and solidarity. We seek to improve access to services and resources such as food, housing, and baby items, and to support our clients as they deal with the stresses brought about by systemic poverty, racism and oppression. You can find out more about the Maternal Infant Health Program at michigan.gov/MIHP
