Home Share Now facilitates housing matches between people with room to share and people wanting affordable housing, securing housing for all by way of mutually beneficial relationships. In addition to being at the forefront of the home sharing movement, and Central Vermont's only home sharing program since 2003, we offer conflict resolution services, to various parties and entities, delivered by a professional mediator.

We help Central Vermonters develop successful home shares in order to create affordable housing options with positive community and environmental impacts. We are a 501(c)(3) with a small staff (3.5 FTE) and dedicated volunteer corps. Our annual budget is $300,000, and funding comes from foundations, participant fees, individual contributions and the State of Vermont. We use a personalized and best practice process to facilitate safe and comfortable home share matches that build relationships and community; cut back on individual participant's carbon footprints; provide housing for barter or low cost stipend in exchange for work around the house; and help seniors age in their own homes. We primarily serve Washington, Orange and Lamoille counties in Vermont.
