    About Us

South Asia Partnership Sri Lanka(SAPSRI) originally established in 1981. It commenced as a member of international network of development oriented organizations operating in Bangladesh, Canada, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka with the support of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). It then expanded to focus on village-based organizations in Sri Lanka supporting disadvantaged communities to achieve a better quality of life. During 1981-1991 SAPSRI supported emerging small NGO’s in rural areas to promote livelihood of the marginalized and disadvantaged communities. SAPSRI shifted to program approach by introducing, Cluster-based long term development program in 1992 and Small & Medium Entrepreneurship Development Program in 1997).

Currently SAPSRI’s focus is to work with rural communities, partner organizations, INGO’s, NGO’s and Government organizations towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (2015- 2030)
