The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County

The mission of The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County(TLC) is the preservation, conservation and stewardship of natural resources, historic sites and open spaces in the Southern Chester County corridor. As of 2011, TLC has preserved more than 600 acres within Kennett Township and beyond.

America 's natural areas are disappearing at a rate of eight square miles every day. The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County (TLC) is working hard to combat this growing concern.

TLC works directly with landowners, accepting donations of voluntary conservation agreements and land. We also purchase tracts of land with private, public, and grant monies. These efforts are critical in the face of a growing threat to America's natural heritage.

In addition, TLC is available to consult with landowners who are interested in becoming better stewards of their land about using native flora in their landscape or creating better water drainage situations. We are also involved in many community projects to help others see the value of open space.
