First Baptist Church, Pottstown, PA

​First Baptist Church is a small, spirited community of faith striving to follow the example of Jesus by providing safe spaces for those on the margins of our community. As a Welcoming and Affirming community, we created and host Prism LGBTQ+ Community Center of Pottstown which welcomes all.

We value diversity: having a seat at the table. We value inclusion: having a voice. We value belonging: having that voice be heard.

Out of our commitment to inclusion, First Baptist Church founded and supports the only LGBTQ+Community Center in our area. We have programs for children, youth, trans/bi, a book group, a partner support group and a parent group. We also provide a feel licensed counselor and host community activities.

We are an activist congregation, involved in the work of justice and community building to create a society where everyone is welcomed, honored, valued and served.
