About Us
The Mercer Island Schools Foundation serves as the catalyst for the Mercer Island community to make an investment in our community's public schools. Each year over 4,000 students receive exceptional classroom experiences due to the generosity of our donors. Providing venture capital to the district, principals and teachers accelerates academic achievement. Donor gifts support identified priority needs for new curricula, classroom materials, textbooks, enrichment and fine arts support, and programs for students' emotional growth, profssional development for teachers and staffing of 20 teachers due to state level budget cuts. The community's investment provides the highest quality education possible for all students.
