    The mission of GIA is to provide leadership and service to advance the use of philanthropic resources on behalf of arts and culture. A twenty-four year old organization with a membership of 310 grantmaking organizations, national offices in Seattle, and a professional staff of seven, the organization is stable and well-functioning. The activities for members constitute the organization’s core programming (including an annual conference, publications, and web resources). In addition, members come together by interest areas including social justice, funding for artists, arts & education, corporate funders, and Indigenous Resources, among others.)
