  • About Us

Gather Baltimore is a volunteer-based program, created by OSI fellow Arthur Gray Morgan, that collects unsold vegetables, fruit and more from farms, markets and large-scale suppliers for redistribution to local meal programs, shelters, and more. The food we collect is surplus that would otherwise unnecessarily become waste, as does an estimate 40% of the American food supply at some point along the food chain. Gather Baltimore ensures that this perfectly edible food is instead made available to financially challenged families in communities where fresh healthy food is not readily accessible.
