YogaCare also coordinates the Socially Engaged Yoga Network, offering professional development, networking, and capacity building for yoga teachers and organizations in the Chicagoland area interested in providing community-based yoga service work in fields such as trauma-informed practice, criminal justice, sustainability, social services, and education/youth development. We center the margins of those who have not been historically included in yoga in order to create a lasting citywide impact and collective action.
