Kanzi Academy, Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust

Kanzi Academy is a gifted primary school operated by the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust (MWCT). This school provides a diverse and comprehensive education to outstanding Maasai students within the Kuku Group Ranch community. It serves as part of the educational outreach of MWCT.

A pioneer in community-based conservation, the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust seeks to protect the environmental and cultural wonders of East Africa by working with the Maasai community. A recognized leader in wildlife conservation, the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust was awarded the United Nations’ prestigious Equator Prize in 2012. As part of their efforts to promote conservation and sustain the Maasai culture, the Trust manages Kanzi Academy, an advanced primary school serving gifted students within the Maasai community of the Kuku Group Ranch in southern Kenya.
