Community Health Partnership-Honduras

Community Health Partnership-Honduras provides medical and dental care in rural Honduras with a focus on women and children's health. Our approach is collaborative and integrative. We work in partnership with the community, with the health care providers, and with each patient. This holistic approach provides for better community, familial, and health outcomes. Our teams visit the region three times a year, seeing approximately 2,500 - 3,000 people in total. Our teams are usually comprised of 50% U.S. professionals and 50% Honduran professionals.

We run our medical and dental clinics out of La Florida, Opatoro, Honduras. This is a mountainous region. The people are mostly of Lencan descent. The World Health Organization puts the Honduran poverty level as the second worst in the hemisphere. But by employing a collaborative approach, we have seen a steady increase in health outcomes. We also have the medical and dental data demonstrating these improved outcomes.
