    • Mission

    Love Your Neighborhood's (L.Y.N.) mission is to reach out to the unhoused community encampments to show compassion by providing individuals with basic living fundamentals as hot meals, clothing, hygiene kits and mobile phones. Once a rapport has been established within this community, L.Y.N. can then refer individuals to housing programs and other viable resources within the Fremont and Newark areas. L.Y.N. wants this overlooked community to know that there are people who were once in their situation and care about their current living situation.

    About Us

    L.Y.N. is a fairly new non-profit founded by James and Lynne Osborn in March 2023 and have been actively serving the unhoused community since April 2024. Our goal is to eventually serve more encampment communities and provide a portable wash station for their hygiene needs. Through the resources that will be presented to them, we are hoping some individuals will take advantage and eventually be able to get into permanent housing.

    Since we've been serving consistently at one encampment, we are starting to establish a relationship. We've been serving at this encampment every 2nd Saturday since May 2024 and the people are starting to see we are sincere and care by us faithfully

    showing up. Our goal is to refer these individuals to various programs to help them get housing and employment.
