Real Industry

Real Industry educates and empowers university students to succeed in their future industry careers. Our organization partners with leading companies to create workshops that help students develop real-world skills under the guidance of industry experts.

Real Industry is composed of two programs: Real Industry workshops and Real Startup. Our flagship education programs are our Real Industry workshops. In this program, university students join in collaborative, team-oriented, on-campus workshops to develop consumer products, music and entertainment technology, music business, and social impact real-world challenges. Our Real Startup program enables university startup teams to develop entrepreneurial skills by taking their innovations to the real world.

Companies like Pandora, Autodesk, Sonos, Bose, and Warner Music Group support Real Industry’s educational initiatives at over 28 universities including Stanford University, University of California Berkeley, University of Michigan, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Southern California, New York University, and more. Working collaboratively with partner companies, students generate thousands of new product designs, solve industry problems, and develop real world portfolio projects.
