Girls Inc of Monroe County

At Girls Incorporated of Monroe County, we celebrate each girl for her unique gifts and talents. We encourage all girls to develop their potential, to break past serious obstacles, and lead healthy, educated, and successful lives. These girls then grow up to become accomplished women, role models, and leaders. They create positive change and break the cycle of limitations for their families, communities, institutions - all of us.

 We work to meet the needs of every girl and her family in an all-inclusive approach. Girls Inc. programming creates measurable improvements in girls’ lives and community conditions. Our girl-centered environment supports and empowers our members. The girls are the leaders. Breaking down barriers to participation makes Girls Inc. accessible – girls are not at home alone after school, in an unstructured environment, or with no supervision. Instead, girls participate in constructive programs and are discouraged from making dangerous decisions or participating in harmful activities.
