About Us

Lake County International Charter School is a K-8 program educating students as literate, knowledgeable, principled, world citizens. Our goal is to:

Provide all children with an enriched educational environment that honors the whole child: intellectual, emotional, creative, physical, and social.

Develop skills and tools for critical thinking and creative expression, and an understanding of the interconnectivity of areas of knowledge.

Provide a multicultural education that promotes respect, understanding and appreciation of diversity.

Develop a strong sense of self motivation in our students so they may reach their full potential.

Build a strong foundation of parent participation and community involvement.

LCICS was granted initial IBO candidate status in May of 2007 to become an International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) authorized school. Authorization is required to utilize IBO standards for curriculum and assessment, which meet or exceed California state standards. Successful authorization is determined by IBO.

LCICS is also a WASC - Western Association of Schools and Colleges candidate school.
