Landmine Action works to improve protection for civilians from the effects of specific weapons.
Our policy, research and advocacy work focuses on establishing controls over the technology of violence. Such controls can range from national legislation to the development of new international humanitarian law.
Our field projects build the capacity of partners to control weapons. These include clearing landmines and other explosive remnants of war (ERW) and facilitating community disarmament. As well as supporting local community partners we also work with governments to develop appropriate legislation and responsible state approaches to the control of weapons.
