About Us

Cristo Rey Jesuit opened its doors in 2007 and we have been educating bright, college-bound students from Baltimore ever since. Currently, we enroll 360 students, who hail from neighborhoods all over the city and represent the cultural diversity of Baltimore.  Once here, our students form a close-knit, caring community.

Cristo Rey Jesuits exists to transform lives. We are a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory school, empowering students to succeed in college, work, and life. In partnership with the Maryland Province Jesuits, the Cristo Rey Network, and the Baltimore business community, our school embraces low-income families of religious, racial, and ethnic diversity. We nurture our students to be men and women in service to others through academic achievement, business experience, faith formation, and civic leadership.

Our school is part of a network of 30 Cristo Rey schools across the country. The first school was opened nearly 20 years ago by Jesuits in Chicago to provide a college preparatory education in an under-served neighborhood. Families there wanted a better life for their children, and the Jesuits rightly believed that education was the way out of poverty.

We are a young school, but 100% of our graduates have been accepted into college. Cristo Rey Jesuit today is making Baltimore a better city for tomorrow.
