Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers, Inc

For over 30 years ECCC has been sustaining and enhancing the ministries of Episcopal camps, conference centers, retreat centers and farms. Our mission is simple: to support and advocate for the ministry and vitality of Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers.

Our mission is defined by 5 tenets.

1) To nurture the professional growth of current and future leaders

2) To foster excellence in the operation and services of member centers

3) To strengthen the network of communication, collegiality, and support among leaders of centers

4) To advocate for camp and conference ministry within the wider Church

To that end, I have expanded our mission to include a 5th tenet: 

5) Building relationships with parishes, dioceses, and the wider church based on the transferable

nature of our approach and its ability to impact the vitality of Episcopal communities of faith.

WHO WE SERVE

ECCC exists at an intersection of the Episcopal Church, the outdoor recreation and hospitality industries, and the non-profit sector. 

Our member centers are located throughout the United States. They operate in a wide variety of structures – some are seasonal operations, while others operate year-round; some are overseen by a diocese, while others are independent. Some operate under their own 501(c)3, and others don’t.  Members include small and large operations, including day camps, one-week programs at rented  sites, and retreat centers nourishing spiritual programming for adult formation. 

Regardless of their location, size, programming, and years in ministry the needs of our member centers are quite similar. They are defined by 10 areas of focus:
