    Vijnana Kala Vedi welcmes foreign nationals (irrespective of age, sex, profession, race or nationality) to experience Indian culture, through the learning of Indian Arts, Crafts and Languages living in a Kerala village. One can also opt to volunteer to Teach English to poor village children. One can stay for any length of time in the centre and take lessons and can benefit a lot from the individual lessons, which are given for most subjects. VKV was registered as a Charitable Organisation in 1977, with Reg. no. A 334, under the Travancore -Cochin Charitable Societies Act of 1955, to promote and foster the Traditional arts and Crafts of Kerala, India.
