  • Mission

Women's Therapy Center's (WTC) mission is to strengthen families and communities through affordable therapy for multi-cultural, sexually diverse women, adolescent girls and couples. To provide comprehensive training in relational psychotherapy, which encourages viewing people within their social context and affords clients an experience of respect, acceptance and empathy. To ensure that length of treatment is determined by client and therapist without regard to any institutionally imposed time limits.

    About Us

WTC was orginally conceived by two female Berkeley clinicians in 1979, specifically to create a training site that offered an alternative to existing models of psychotherapy. WTC offers a two year relational therapy training program and an Advance Therapy Program both integrate feminist and egalitarian ideals with sound clinical theory and technique. The therapist receive exceptional relational therapy training in exchange for services to the community. The agency is commited to being racially diverse and providing multi-culturally competent services.
