About Us
Children's Friend is a private, non-profit agency that has been serving children and families in the greater Worcester community since 1849. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and those who love them.
What started out as an orphans' home has grown into an agency that provides adoption services, early childhood education, outpatient mental health services at our licensed clinic, and the only child and family grief support center in central Massachusetts.
