  • About Us

The California Film Institute is a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to celebrate and promote film and video as art and education. The Film Institute has three core programs: the annual Mill Valley Film Festival, the year-round Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center, and the ongoing educational California Film Institute Outreach program. Together, these programs serve the international independent filmmaking community, and the filmgoing community of the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
