    Our mission is to be good citizen stewards of the parks in order to preserve the quality of life for the citizens of Milwaukee County.

    About Us

    The Park People is a non-profit organization created in 1977 to support the County Parks Department in maintaining and enhancing the park system. We strive to develop community involvement in neighborhood parks through several programs ("Weed-Out!", The Park Market, Friends Groups, etc...) and hope to someday have a separate Park District to continue this stewardship.
