About Us
The John Howard Society of York Region is a dynamic non profit charitable organization with a mandate of effective, just & humane responses to crime and its causes. The York Region Affiliate is a newly established chapter, incorporated in March 2010. Across Canada, over 60 John Howard Societies deliver a wide range of services to youth, adults and families who have been affected by the criminal justice system. Programs range from prevention, through to community integration and reintegration programs for people returning to our communities from correctional institutions.
