  • About Us

USA Swimming is the National Governing Body for the Sport of Swimming. We have a membership population of 400,000 members across the country that includes swimming clubs, coaches, officials, athletes, and their families.

Safe Sport is USA Swimming's abuse prevention program. It is our mission to reduce the risk for physical, sexual, and emotional abuse in sport by raising awareness about risk areas, how and why abuse occurs, and empower our members to report when they recognize it.

USA Swimming's Safe Sport Program was founded in 2010 and was the first dedicated athlete protection program in the Olympic movement.
