Jacob Riis Academy at Information Technology High School

Riis Academy – Infotech is a community learning center that operates programs during non-school hours for students attending Information Technology High School, high school students of western Queens, and their families. By providing tutoring and other academic enrichment activities along with an array of youth development opportunities that complement regular academic programs, the Riis Academy helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects. In addition, literacy and other educational services are offered to families of students participating in the program. The goals of the Riis Academy – Infotech program are to ensure that participants graduate from high school, pursue college education, and develop career goals. We believe that every child can reach their greatest potential if given the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
