    Development Initiatives for Sustainability (DIS) was established in 2006 and was officially registered on 6th September 2006 as a National Organization. It is a non-Partisan, not-for-profit institution as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) under NGO act of 1990, Office of the President Republic of Kenya. It was founded by inspired voluntary group of Like-Minded Kenyans ready to initiate and spur sustainable development in their societies.
