About Us
VIA is a pluralistic non-profit organisation. Its core business is intercultural exchange through voluntary work. To realize the aim of promoting peace and intercultural learning through voluntary work, we organize short term exchanges (work camps) and long term exchanges (individual work in a project – EVS). We prepare and send Flemish volunteers abroad and receive international volunteers on our work camps. VIA is the Flemish branch of Service Civil International (SCI) which is active in more then 100 countries. VIA contributes to good relations between people of different cultural backgrounds. It does so by means of intercultural exchange and voluntary work. VIA's activities are open to people with various values, standards and backgrounds. They improve mutual respect and tolerance in the own environment and elsewhere.
