CASA of East Central Indiana
Mission
Every child has the right to a safe, permanent home. East Central Indiana Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) provides a voice in the court process for neglected, abused or exploited children in Madison County and educates the community regarding its responsibility for these children.
About Us
Madison County, Indiana has over 1200 children with substantiated cases of abuse or neglect. Over 400 of these children are waiting for a Court Appointed Advocate to be their voice in decisions about their future. East Central Indiana CASA recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to be Court Appointed Special Advocates. These child advocates are the voice in court for abused and neglected children, ages infant to age 18. They thoroughly examine a child’s case and make recommendations to the Judge on what is in the best interest of the child. The goal of CASA is to get the child into a safe and permanent home as quickly as possible, where they can thrive.
