The mission of the SAFILM is to serve as an accessible and inclusive platform for cinematic artists to showcase their art and to provide cinematic culture to a diverse audience. SAFILM showcases films from around the world while nurturing and developing filmmakers.

    About Us

SAFILM-San Antonio Film Festival serves a broad spectrum of individuals from school-age children to college students, adults, filmmakers, film industry pros and cinema arts aficionados including local audiences and guests from across the country and around the world. SAFILM has tremendous value thanks to the access and networking opportunities it provides to local filmmakers that would otherwise not be available here. The workshops and educational panels are provided for free to everyone during the Film Festival to ensure they are accessible to people of all income levels.

Our audiences include press, filmmakers, industry and community leaders and die-hard fans. The San Antonio Film Festival sets up an inviting, creative and innovative environment for just a few days every year where opportunities for one-on-one networking abound, connections are forged, and filmmakers are presented with a slew of unique opportunities to share ideas, engage in cultural exchanges and advance their careers. As an accessible and inclusive platform for cinema artists, the San Antonio Film Festival also brings together scores of new and original films and talent from across the country and around the world to inspire, elevate and edify cinema lovers as well - giving local audiences access to independent films that might otherwise never be seen in our area.
