  • Mission

The mission of the James Seastrand Helping Hands is to assist the frail elderly over the age of 60 and the disabled within North Las Vegas with transportation for medical appointments and other necessary appointments; run errands; grocery shop; respite care; friendly visits; minor home repair and telephone reassurance and community referral for those outside of our area, in order that they may remain independent in their own homes rather than institutionalized.

    About Us

Escorted transportation is offered to senior citizens age 60 and older who reside in North Las Vegas. Volunteers transport clients to medical appointments and other necessary errands and remain with the client during the excursion. Clients must first be assessed for transportation. There is no charge for this service, but clients are asked to donate an amount affordable to them. No one is denied service because of inability to contribute.

Simple home maintenance and repairs, scheduled smoke detector and filter changes, and safety checks are just a few of the services provided.

Senior citizens age 60 and over who reside in Clark County are eligible to pick up one bag each month. There is no charge for this service, but contributions are accepted. It is sometimes necessary to close the office to transport clients. Please call before you come.

The objective of this program is to allow senior citizens to use their limited funds for other items such as utilities, food, and prescriptions.
