The Manifest Center for the Visual Arts

  • Mission

Manifest’s mission is to stand for quality in the visual arts, as well as the importance of creative research, meaningful and accessible art-based experiences for the public, deep learning outside academia, the rigorous documentation of exceptional art, and the promotion of visual literacy, critical thinking, and skill development as important personal and social catalysts.

    About Us

Manifest is a Cincinnati-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2004 to provide meaningful and accessible experiences in the visual arts. Distinct from traditional galleries, schools, or museums, Manifest operates as an integrated arts institution where exhibition, education, publication, and artist support work together to foster excellence in practice and understanding. Through its Gallery, Drawing Center, Press, and Artist Residency programs, Manifest connects artists and the public in a shared environment that emphasizes visual literacy, critical thinking, and sustained creative growth. With the development of the Manifest Center for the Visual Arts—its first permanent home—the organization is expanding its capacity to serve a broad and diverse audience locally, nationally, and internationally.
