California Alliance for Retired Americans

The mission of the California Alliance for Retired Americans (CARA) is to ensure social and economic justice and full civil rights for all citizens so that they may enjoy lives of dignity, personal and family fulfillment and security. The California Alliance for Retired Americans is building a statewide network of hundreds of organizations for the purpose of educating and informing its membership, the public, and elected officials about issues that affect the well being of California's older adults. CARA is working towards the advancement and achievement of just and equitable living conditions for seniors within the state and the nation though legislative advocacy.
