About Us
Our mission is to develop middle school girls of color into global leaders through international travel and community building. We envision a world where all girls regardless of background or circumstance have the tools and opportunity to explore, connect and learn from others around the globe.
iFLY Youth was founded in 2017 in response to the shortage of affordable study abroad and leadership development opportunities for middle school girls of color in the DC Metropolitan Area.
Through our programming, we are determined to answer the following questions: “What would happen if girls from underserved communities learned about the world through first-hand real-world experiences in addition to textbooks and social media? How might international travel change the trajectory of their personal, academic and professional lives?”
