Hand-Up Project Foundation Inc.

The Hand-Up Project Foundation Inc. is an organization that is focused on teaching the poor to help the poor by working togetheras a communal group beginning with HUP Inc. providing shelter, food, water, clothing, medical help and education to the poor globally, for self-sufficiency. Through varius projects HUP organizes funding for main needs of the poor and institutions ranging from dome shelters to education for sel-sufficiency. These projects will rebuild a strong foundation from which each poor person family, and social rehabilitation members reach beyond their limitations and achieve a stronger economic and spiritual unity. A "hand-up" that reaches beyond political and material barriers building interconnected communities the support required for sustainable well being exponentially. Through self-sufficiency each person and community has an ownership and investment interest for the first time to plan a real sound future for their needs and dreams. One of HUP's focus projects is to build self-sufficient communities and aim it's attention to the children and their families, as well as the homeless children that are suffering from the results of the economic problems.

A HUP community is a people based settlement whereby self-sufficiency is realized for the poor and underpriviledged. Each community has a number of HUP funded eco dome shelters with self-sufficient based agriculture and Aquaculture farming administered by a "co-operative board" housing a school, medical facility, and a church. Every community has infrastructure for streets, sewage, clean water and a water catchment built into each home. Each resident has representation on the board and community stakeholders focus on sustaining self-sufficiency.HUP staff and stakeholders offer training for successful agricultural development. Due to a shortage of land tracks in some countries, the agriculrural focus will include Aquaponics,root crops, and green walls(roof top gardens). Trainings will be on site and include performance initiatives with benefits.

Each HUP community will interface with other HUP communmities in the country through agricultural education, academic education, alternative energy project trainings and other outreach support projects. This interfacing strategy will promote further developments in the surrounding areas for the poor and the underpriviledged.
